Some heavy showers and thunderstorms during the morning hours on Friday, July 20th brought more than two inches of rain to the Borough of Avalon. A large cell of showers and storms moved across the region around 7:30am on Friday which brought heavy rainfall to the region. The showers and storms have left the area, but an unstable atmosphere could bring more showers and storms at time over the weekend.
