The Avalon Police Department has again closed a portion of Ocean Drive that leads to the Townsend’s Inlet Bridge. This closure is in advance of the Tuesday morning high tide in Avalon. Wave over wash and flooding is the reason for the closure. The road to the bridge will be reopened later this morning when conditions permit. Please use an alternate route to Sea Isle City. It is possible the road will be closed again later on Tuesday, September 9th, in advance of the next high tide event.
