On Wednesday, October 1st at 12:51pm the Avalon Police Department closed a portion of Ocean Drive heading north to the Townsend’s Inlet Bridge due to heavy wave over wash on the roadway on the Avalon side of the bridge. This closure is expected to be temporary and the road will re-open as soon as wave conditions subside, likely later in the afternoon. Please take an alternate route from Avalon to Sea Isle City.
