On Sunday, October 12th at 11:17am, the Avalon Police Department close a portion of Ocean Drive leading to the Townsend’s Inlet Bridge. The closure resulted from wave over wash on the Avalon side of the bridge which makes that portion of Ocean Drive unsafe for motorists and pedestrians. This closure is expected to end later this afternoon. In in the interim, please seek an alternate route to access Sea Isle City from Avalon. High tide at the bridge occurs at 11:27am. This evening’s high tide is expected to be about a foot lower than this morning’s high tide.
