UPDATE, 5:06PM: According to Atlantic City Electric, it will no longer need Avalon Boulevard closed in order to repair a utility pole that was damaged in this afternoon’s motor vehicle accident. Avalon Boulevard will re-open to vehicular traffic at approximately 5:30pm on Wednesday, November 5th. Please exercise caution while driving. Power is being restored throughout the Borough of Avalon following the motor vehicle accident on the Boulevard.
The Avalon Department of Public Safety wants you to know that Avalon Boulevard has been closed in both directions on Wednesday, November 5th, at 3:45pm due to a motor vehicle accident on the Boulevard. The Boulevard is being closed in both directions until further notice due to a utility pole being struck by a vehicle. Please avoid that area and plan another route in and out of Avalon. Thank you.
