The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Avalon and Cape May County on Monday, June 19th. The Watch is in effect through 8:00pm.
A strong line of thunderstorms associated with the arrival of a cold front is expected to impact our area this evening. These storms could bring frequent lightning, thunder, strong winds, heavy rain and the potential for hail. If you see lightning or hear thunder seek shelter immediately.
Pay attention to traditional media outlets in the event this Watch is elevated to a Warning. A Watch means conditions are favorable for storms to occur; a Warning means the threat is imminent.
