The National Weather Service has issued a Coastal Flood Advisory for Thursday, October 28th from Noon until 6:00pm; a Coastal Flood Watch for Friday, October 29th from Noon until 8:00pm; and a Wind Advisory for Friday, October 29th, from 11:00am until 11:00pm.  The Flood Watch may become a flood warning in advance of Friday’s high tide event.

The region is expected to see minor tidal flooding at time of high tide on Thursday.  High tide will occur Thursday afternoon at the Townsend’s Inlet Bridge at 2:00pm.  However, moderate tidal flooding is anticipated at high tide Friday afternoon.  High tide will occur at 3:04pm.

The Wind Advisory is forecasting strong winds out of the east gusting to 45mph Friday afternoon into Friday evening.  Secure all outdoor objects that can be prone to winds, including patio furniture and trash cans.  Contractors should secure their job sites at the end of the working day Friday.

Exercise caution while driving.  Never drive on a flooded street.  This puts you and your vehicle at risk and causes a wake that can damage property.
