The National Weather Service has issued a Coastal Flood Warning and a High Wind Warning for our community. The Coastal Flood Warning is in effect Friday, October 29th, from Noon until 9pm; the High Wind Warning is in effect Friday, October 29th, from 11am until 11pm. Minor to moderate tidal flooding is anticipated at time of high tide. Winds will be out of the east at 25-35mph, with wind gusts approaching 55mph.
High tide will occur at the Townsend’s Inlet Bridge at 3:04pm Friday. Moderate tidal flooding is anticipated. Some streets may be impassable due to tidal flooding Never drive on a flooded street. Turn around, don’t drown. Secure any objects that are prone to strong winds outside of your home Friday morning. Contractors are required to secure their job sites.
