High pressure briefly builds through the region later today through Monday. Unsettled conditions are then on tap for most of the mid-week period. Several waves of low pressure pass south of the region Tuesday through Wednesday, bringing several rounds of snow to the region, with a main focus being on the eastern shores of Maryland, Delaware, and southern New Jersey.
Another system passes through the region Wednesday night, but this will feature a wintry mix of snow, sleet, and freezing rain before changing to plain rain from south to north by Thursday morning.
The final system of the week passes over the area on Thursday, and this looks to bring plain rain.
The attached map is the expected snowfall over the 36 hour period from 7 am Tuesday through 7 pm Wednesday. The bulk of the snow will fall Tuesday and Tuesday night, with minimal additional snow on Wednesday.
