The Avalon Police Department announced at 2:16pm on Saturday, November 1st that it has temporarily closed a portion of Ocean Drive leading towards the Townsend’s Inlet Bridge. The approaching high tide combined with strong winds has caused some wave over wash on the portion of the roadway leading to the bridge. Please plan an alternate route to access Sea Isle City for the next few hours. The roadway will open later today after high tide and when conditions are once again safe.
