The National Weather Service has posted a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for the Borough of Avalon. Seek Shelter immediately as this storm is prepared to move over our region at approximately 730pm. The storm is expected to include cloud to ground lightning, brief heavy downpours, and strong gusty winds. When you see the storm approach, seek shelter immediately. Do not attempt to drive through any flooded intersection or on a flooded street. There are scattered power outages throughout Cape May County; Atlantic City Electric is aware of the issue. Exercise caution while driving. There is the potential for street flooding during and immediately after this storm.
